When The Mail Doesn’t Arrive

For the first time in who knows how long, I have had a package that hasn’t arrived when estimated.

When I was told it would arrive on Friday, I expected it to arrive on Friday.

Except it didn’t.

And, let me tell you I wanted to get more than a little bit cranky about it.

Though, I didn’t.

Why?

Because I only paid for standard delivery.

Despite really wanting the books to arrive by Friday, they weren’t important enough for me to pay extra to have a guaranteed delivery date.

I’m not going to jump on the bandwagon and condemn the service provided, because it actually isn’t their fault.

If the finger needs to be pointed somewhere, we need to point it at ourselves first.

Because we are the ones who have allowed the various governments over the years to decimate this organisation.
