One of the joys of having children is their “But why?” questions.

While they can be frustrating to say the least, they can also be insightful – if we ask ourselves the same question.

Why do you stand on the same part of the platform every day when you catch the train?

Why do you order the same coffee every day?

Why do you travel the same way to work every day?

Why do you sleep on the same side of the bed every night?

If that is what you have always done, or because it is what you like, what would happen if you tried something different?

Yes, you may like a particular coffee, though that doesn’t mean you can’t try another.

Sometimes habit and comfort aren’t a good thing…
