We All Need Something To Believe In

Yet the sad reality is that there are fewer and fewer of us every day.

It wasn’t that long ago that we believed in a God.

We believed in our politicians.

Most of us believed in something.

Our politicians have destroyed our belief in them by believing we are there for them, not that they represent us.

Our churches have had too many scandals to be the guardians of morality.

The result of all of this is that far too many of us are literally wandering around aimlessly.

We are starting to believe in or worship the wrong or potentially self-destructive things. (Social media and keeping up with the Jones’ spring to mind).

As hard as it will be, we need to believe in only those things that will help us to become a better person.

Those things that improve us, not how others see us.

And, most importantly, those things that improve society or our community.

  1. A desire to believe is genetic, faith is a gift from God to us, given freely through His Son. The Church is but a gathering of like minded people who failings and character flaws remain with them daily. (I am one such person)
Instutions by default (man made) are often scandal ridden – my advice look to the creator not the created for salvation.
