Pick up any newspaper or turn on any TV over the past 12 months, and you will see an excuse for X, Y or Z being done because it is saving lives.
Yet the sad fact is that there not a thing that can be done to “save” ours or anyone else’s life.
We are all mortal.
That means that at some point in time our lives will end.
Which once we realise and understand this, we really do need to ask ourselves a very important question.
Do we want to live our lives in fear of something that might kill us? (And this could be anything from a coming asteroid to an invasion from space).
Or, do we want to actually live our lives, and do what we can to have the best life we can?
