Why do so many of us think that we know all there is to know about x,y, or z?
Almost every professional organisation has a “continual professional development” requirement, where member must keep learning.
Yet, many in these professions are hesitant to admit that they don’t know it all.
Not admitting that, or only learning from a particular source leads us to stagnate and become fixed in our views/understanding.
Yes you may have spent x number of years somewhere studying something.
Though that shouldn’t mean that your learning should end.
Everyone we meet can teach us something that we many not have already known.
It is up to us to be open minded enough to not only accept that, to also seek out those opportunities.
