Keeping Score Won’t Make You Like It

While the article ’Science says you’ll like it’: For a happiness boost, try being kind is worth reading, it is disappointing that the author was keeping score.

If you are keeping score, you aren’t helping others because it is the right thing to do, you are doing it because you want something in return.

If you are going down that path, you may never like it, because it will become a chore and something that you have to do.

Instead, do good when you can, help others when you can.

And, remember this quote from Marcus Aurelius.

A man when he has done a good act, does not call out for others to come and see, but he goes on to another act, as a vine goes on to produce again the grapes in season.
