This usually means following the status quo, and not challenging ourselves or our tribe.
If we aren’t challenging ourselves, we don’t grow.
If we aren’t growing, we are atrophying.
If we are atrophying, then we are going backwards.
If we are going backwards, how can we expect to leave things in a better shape than we found them?
