Having a look at the books that I have read recently, I noticed that there were more fiction books in them, then there was non-fiction.
Which made me think of a line from a Jack Reacher book. (I have a feeling it was One Shot, though to tell you the truth, this one wasn’t written down either).
Anyway, paraphrasing the quote, he said something along the lines of preferring to read fiction over non-fiction, because in his experience, even non-fiction isn’t entirely non-fiction.
Now there is nothing wrong with reading biographies, though the trap is when we start comparing ourselves to them, rather than getting inspiration from it.
I don’t know about you, I have found that I tend to be more creative after reading fiction books.
And, personally, I think that is what we need more of.
