It’s normal to feel pain in your hands and feet, if you’re using your feet as feet and your hands as hands. And for a human being to feel stress is normal – if he’s living a normal human life.
And if it’s normal, how can it be bad?
~ Marcus Aurelius (Meditations 6.33)
If we accept that stress is a normal part of human life, why are we so afraid of it?
In working so hard to reduce our stress levels, are we possibly weakening ourselves when we face a stressor we aren’t able to reduce?
In the same way that our body grows stronger when we exercise, shouldn’t we look at stress as something that also makes us stronger too?
