How well do you want the odds to be before you take a chance on doing something?
Will you have a go at something that is 50:50?
Or will you wait until the odds are more favourable, say, 70:30?
What if the odds were stacked against you?
Would you still write that book, or start that side business if there was a 1 in 500 chance of you being “successful”?
Or, is it simply a matter of the outcome being worth the risk?
I have a Jeep Wrangler, and as a rule of thumb, if the weather is predicted to have less than a 60% chance of rain, the roof is off.
People buy a lottery ticket when the odds are 100 Million plus to one, against them.
Is there something that you should be that could make your life better that has odds better than 100 million to one?
If there is, why aren’t you doing it?
