How many of us falter under “pressure”?
How many of us thrive under it?
Look at the standardised exams we have to take in school.
Many of us, and myself included, know the answers to the questions, though when it comes time to write it down with the clock ticking, we falter, and draw a blank.
It happens in sport too.
A long shot team will be doing great all year, then when the Grand Final comes, they can pull that win off. (Yes, there may be other factors too).
Instead of avoiding those “high pressure” situations, shouldn’t we be embracing them?
The more we get used to doing things when the “pressure is on”, the better we will become at making the right decisions.
