In general, Australian’s are a pretty complacent lot.
There isn’t much that we get upset about out here.
Yes, we do have the odd token protest, or parade through the CBD.
Though, all in all, to governments pretty much do what they want, and we accept it.
Yes, we occasionally vote out a government that does something we don’t like or agree with, though that is always after the fact, and doesn’t stop them from doing the thing in the first place.
So, I want to ask you this.
What will it take to get you to write a letter to your local member?
Write them a letter to let them know you aren’t happy with something they have or haven’t done.
If you don’t write them a letter, how will they know you aren’t happy with their performance?
If they don’t know you aren’t happy with their performance, why would they do anything differently?
