Science Fiction is an existential metaphor that allows us to tell stories about the human condition.
Individual science fiction stories may seem as trivial as ever to the blinder critics and philosophers of today – but the core of science fiction, its essence has become crucial to our salvation if we are to be saved at all.

I’m a huge believer of the above quote from Isaac Asimov.
Except Sci-fi is no longer an existential metaphor, it is now a platform to push the latest social justice agenda
And this kills the series or franchise.
It has happened to Star Trek, Star Wars (not that I watch this one), and to the beloved Doctor Who, to name a few.
While I was, and still am of the view that The Doctor died way back in 2018, I was tempted by the nostalgia baiting that happened way back in Nov 2023.
