Way back in the 1960’s, Frank Abignale* taught at Brigham Young University as a professor of sociology, without having finished high school.
When asked about it, Abignale says
“Wasn’t difficult, read one chapter ahead of my students. They never knew the difference.”
While that may be good for those pulling a con, or any one of a number of internet “experts” – and there are a lot of them, life isn’t like this.
Life and business are more like a choose your own adventure type book, than a linear novel.
It is up to you if you chose a coach/mentor who is only a chapter ahead, though if you do, at least make sure you are both reading the same book.
*Abignale’s life was made into 2002 movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio called “Catch Me If You Can”.
