If you accomplish something good with hard work, the labor passes quickly, but the good endures; if you do something shameful in pursuit of pleasure, the pleasure passes quickly, but the shame endures.
~ Musonius Rufus
How often have you seen or heard of someone do something in a matter that wasn’t acceptable, in some pursuit to keep up with the Jones’?
No one remembers or cares about how good they felt driving the new car, or living in the flash house.
All they will remember is that they did something wrong.
So, before you think about cutting the corners of something to reach one of your goals, ask yourself.
“Is that what you want to be remembered for?”
