Many, many years ago I heard this quote from Gary Busey. (I have no idea where I heard it, so can’t quote a source).
Anyway, the quote said that the word fear is an acronym.
It stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.
Way back then, I didn’t really pay that much attention to it.
Though, as I have gotten older, and discovered more about myself, and the world I live in, the more I began to realise how much it makes sense.
Fear seems to be one of those things that we have inside us that pulls us back from taking risks.
Whether it is a self preservation sense or a comfort zone one remains to be seen.
Either way, it shouldn’t be something that we pay that much attention to.
(Now, to clarify, I am talking about those, at times, irrational fears that we have. Not a concern about putting ourselves into a dangerous situation).
