How often do we decide to watch the movie instead of reading the book?
Sure the movie may only take two hours, and a book may take a few days/weeks to get through.
Though, isn’t seeing the movie instead of reading the book defeating the purpose of entertainment?
The two are very rarely the same as each other, and seeing the movie may leave you disappointed if you are a fan of the book(s).
For example, I am a huge fan of the Jack Reacher novels written by Lee Child.
While the two movies that starred Tom Cruise were good for those who are not familiar with the series. It wasn’t the same for those who are fans.
Books and movies are created for two different audiences.
And more often than not, the book is actually more entertaining than the movie.
